Oban
Oban, which in Gaelic means 'little bay', is a beautiful Atlantic seaside town in the Scottish Highlands. It is easy to reach by car or train and it's about three ours away from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Oban is known as the gateway to the islands because of been the departure point for numerous ferries to the Western Islands. From the MacCraig's Tower the view of the bay is amazing. You should visit also the Oban distillery in the heart of the town and try the excellent local malt scotch whisky.
